MedSolutions maintains evidence-based, clinical guidelines to evaluate CT, MR, PET, ultrasound and cardiac imaging. The basic philosophy behind our criteria is to seek the best imaging procedure for each patient at the most appropriate time in the diagnostic and treatment cycle. MedSolutions’ guidelines are driven by patient symptoms and clinical indications, not by procedures requested.

Our guidelines are based on nationally accepted radiology protocols, clinical evidence, and actual experience with our clients. Our guidelines are designed to promote respectful, thoughtful discussion and negotiation with the referring physician; to ensure consistent case reviews; and to initiate proactive information sharing and serve as an educational tool for referring physicians.

These guidelines are not intended to supersede or replace sound medical judgment but instead should facilitate the identification of the most appropriate imaging procedure given the patient’s clinical condition. Please click the link below to view MedSolutions evidence based clinical guidelines.
